She chose the song Kalimat, famously performed by Majida Roumi. “Performing with the orchestra was an unforgettable experience,” Ms. Fares says. “Stepping onto that stage in Sarajevo, I felt a profound connection with the audience, who welcomed me with open hearts. It was magical; the music just flowed through me.” Music Beyond Borders This powerful performance solidified her belief in music’s universal appeal. Fluent in Arabic, English and French, Ms. Fares emphasises how her multilingual skills enhance her performances: “Each language offers unique emotions and expressions. Singing in multiple languages lets me bridge cultural gaps and truly reach the hearts of diverse audiences. “Arabic music connects me to my roots. French music has elegance and depth, while English music allows for expressive versatility. I treasure performing each style.” Continuing the Journey Reflecting on her journey, Ms. Fares remains deeply committed: “Music isn’t just what I do; it’s who I am. Sharing my voice is my way of celebrating life’s moments, whether they’re joyous, bittersweet or hopeful. I have such a love for performance and am committed to sharing my music with the world.” From winning a gold medal at 16 to performing with a full orchestra in Sarajevo, gifted trilingual vocalist Zeina Fares has dedicated nearly 30 years to music, proving that melodies truly transcend boundaries.
