womanthismonth.com | JUNE 2025 IN HER SHOES 90 IN HER SHOES This month, we take a walk in the shoes of Rasha Alagha, Sales Manager at Nazih Trading, who gives us a behind-the-scenes look at her fast-paced role, beauty favourites and the surprising skills that fuel her success. What’s the first thing you do when you get to work – and what can’t you start your day without? I check my emails to see what’s urgent and what can wait. It helps me prioritise. And I absolutely need coffee – that first sip gets me in the zone. What’s one product from Nazih Trading that you absolutely swear by? Revlon Professional hair colour. It gives rich, long-lasting colour without damaging my hair. I’m also obsessed with the Eksperience range – it’s like a spa day at home, deeply nourishing and smells amazing. Sales can be unpredictable. How do you keep your energy up? Organisation is key. I try to handle tough tasks first and stick to a clear plan. When it gets overwhelming, I step away briefly to reset. Small wins throughout the day really help. What’s a surprising skill you’ve picked up on the job? Event planning! Between launches, client meetings and workshops, I’ve learnt to coordinate all the details. I enjoy it so much, I could see myself shifting to it one day. Tell us about a time you had to think on your feet to close a deal. I once had a very detail-oriented client who asked a lot of questions. It pushed me to use all my product knowledge and emotional intelligence to build trust and keep the conversation flowing. It reminded me that the best sales happen when you connect emotionally with the client. If you had to describe your work style in three words? Teamwork, inspiring and consistent. I lead with people, lift others up and always show up. How do you unwind after a long day – spa day or Netflix binge? Netflix binge, definitely. Couch, snacks and a good show – it’s my way to switch off and reset. What’s one piece of career advice you wish you’d learnt earlier? Observe, listen, learn … then act. I used to jump in too quickly to prove myself, but taking a step back and understanding the full picture first makes you more effective. You work in beauty – but what makes you feel most confident beyond style? Confidence for me is feeling prepared and in control. Whether I’m closing a deal, leading my team or solving a problem, that sense of purpose is what makes me feel truly confident. If we stepped into your shoes for a day, what would surprise us most? People assume sales is all about talking, but there’s a lot of planning, problem-solving and emotional awareness involved. It’s a mix of hustle and strategy – and no two days are ever alike.
