They say spring is the season of love. So, if love is food, spring is really the season of food!
April signals the Hanami season, or cherry blossom season, in Japan. It is said to be the most beautiful time of year and a key part of the tradition is to celebrate through eating together.
Maki couldn’t agree more! Although, at this time, eating together might not always be possible or recommended, one can get creative in sharing love and support for family, friends and the general community.
Spread the love and share some Maki dishes and surprise someone with something other than flowers to show they are still on your mind.
An even better idea? Host an online delivery party! Order a few dishes for you and your friends, hop on that video call, and enjoy Maki together.
The best part? Maki’s hygiene procedures have always been extremely strict, as is the Japanese way, and amid the COVID-19, Maki has taken even stricter measures and ensures all guests that hygiene is the number one priority.
For instance, temperature checks are conducted on all staff at the time they enter the premises, and the procedure is repeated every two hours. Simultaneously, Maki has doubled the cleansing of all surfaces where food is prepared. Aside from wearing gloves and masks at all times, staff must do a full wash down before coming back into the restaurant.
The same procedure applies to all the drivers, who are consistently cleansing their hands with hand sanitiser and wearing gloves at all times. The delivery bags are doubled, to minimise contact with all guests, for the safety and hygiene of all.
So order for yourself, your best friend, your siblings, and share the love. Maki their day better, and keep on rolling!
Maki Bahrain is currently open for delivery and take-out daily from 11am to 11pm on weekdays and 11am till midnight on weekends.
