Street Food from the Levant

Man’oushe Street is where you should head to for some delicious street-style Middle Eastern fare.

It all started in the humble village homes where loving mothers prepared breakfast for their children; something to eat on their way to school. That is the story of how the man’oushe tradition began. This quintessential Lebanese breakfast is a flatbread preparation that can be eaten on-the-go, and is characterised by a crispy exterior topped with aromatic spice blends.

No matter the occasion, this versatile dough has always been a part of the Levantine lifestyle, whether at a family breakfast, an afternoon gathering with friends or at a neighbourhood party.

With time, this homemade food eventually reached the bustling street corner bakeries, making the man’oushe available to all, a staple authentic Lebanese food, to be enjoyed at any time of the day.

Man’oushe Street, one of the most popular Middle Eastern eateries, opened its doors to guests back in 2010 in the United Arab Emirates. The brand has since grown to 19 locations. Mint Trading Partners brought the brand to Bahrain in mid-2018, opening in Riffa and Almoayyed Tower in Seef. This month, it has opened new locations at the Al Najma Club in Juffair and the recently-opened Atrium Mall in Janabiya.

The restaurant is committed to delivering healthy and mouth-watering dishes featuring classic Lebanese favourites. It is the taste and smell of home, speaking the language of the country’s traditions, yet infused with a modern twist.

Rolled out on wooden boards that have been slightly burnt by the flames of the old brick oven, man’oushe come in different shapes, sizes and flavours. Dine in or order via the call center to have the fresh man’oushe delivered straight to your home.

Bahrain’s culture embraces tradition, from which Man’oushe Street draws the inspiration to carry forward the authenticity of the original man’oushe made by doting mothers especially for their families.
