Bahrain Irish Society
The highlight of the year’s Paddy’s Day events, the St Patrick’s Day Ball will taking place on Thursday, March 5, at the Gulf Hotel Bahrain. There is a great lineup of entertainment in store with an appearance from the hugely popular Irish band Catch 22, who have been specially flown in from Ireland for the event. In addition to Catch 22, Irish artist, Aaron Rowe, is also being flown in from Ireland to perform on the night, as are Irish dance troupe ‘Unity’ who are part of Scoil Rince an Chroí dance school.
There will be a pre-reception in Sherlock Holmes at 7.30pm on the night followed by doors to the ballroom opening at 8pm. Tickets are available by emailing [email protected] and they are BD50 for members and BD55 for non-members.

On March 7, the Dilmun Club is putting on an afternoon of St Patrick’s Day Celebrations, known as the Paddy’s Picnic Irish Festival, with music and fun from 11am to 8pm. It features a big festival area specifically setup for this event, large stage, live bands from Bahrain and several acts flown in specially, food stalls, outdoor bars, bouncy castles, big screens for the Six Nations and more.
