Arabian Taxi, one of Bahrain’s trusted transportation providers, has undergone a remarkable transformation under the stewardship of its Managing Director, Tawfeeq AlQattan. With a background in IT and business management, Mr. AlQattan was entrusted by Bahrain Development Bank during a pivotal moment to navigate the company through challenging financial circumstances. He tells Bahrain This Month how his vision, coupled with the support of dedicated teams and stakeholders, has turned Arabian Taxi into a key player in Bahrain’s transportation sector.
Joining the industry was not a planned move for Mr. AlQattan, but a response to the urgent need for leadership at Arabian Taxi. He saw it as a meaningful opportunity to strengthen an essential service that touches the daily lives of Bahrain’s residents and visitors. “Transportation is such a vital part of any community, and I felt this was an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the sector,” he says.
Since taking charge, Mr. AlQattan has led Arabian Taxi on a journey of growth and innovation. With backing from entities like Bahrain Development Bank and the Ministry of Transportation, alongside the Traffic Directorate’s rigorous standards, the company has modernised its operations and enhanced customer experiences. Technology has been a cornerstone of this evolution. Arabian Taxi’s app, enabling seamless bookings and ride tracking, underscores its commitment to transparency and convenience.
Safety and reliability remain paramount. “Maintaining these values is a shared responsibility across our entire team,” he states. “Regular vehicle maintenance, rigorous driver training and quality control measures ensure passengers’ peace of mind, complemented by the steadfast support of government partners.”
