At an event at the American University of Bahrain, Etijah Coaching and Consulting Services inaugurated the third edition of their Ladies Who Lead programme. This initiative, supported by the US Embassy in Bahrain and media partners Woman This Month, is dedicated to fostering leadership qualities in women across the region.
The programme welcomed over 90 enthusiastic participants, eager to start a journey aimed at enhancing their leadership capabilities and expanding professional networks. The event opened with remarks from Dina Shabib, Managing Director of Etijah Coaching and Consulting Services, who outlined the objectives of the programme. She emphasised the importance of developing leadership skills, confidence, and resilience among women in the workplace.
Nathanael Lynn, Counsellor for Public Affairs at the US Embassy, continued by highlighting the Embassy’s commitment to supporting initiatives that empower young professionals and promote economic growth.
A key feature of the launch was the 'Visionary Voices' Speaker Session, led by Dr Diana Aljahromi, Secretary General of the Higher Education Council. She inspired the audience with her trailblazing journey in higher education and discussed the critical role of a visionary mindset in overcoming challenges and driving impactful change.
The event also featured a dynamic Networking Session where participants engaged in discussions about navigating workplace challenges, including communication barriers and unique obstacles faced by women. This session encouraged participants to share personal experiences, exchange insights, and forge new connections.
In her closing remarks, Dina Shabib expressed her deep connection to the programme, saying: "This programme is so close to my heart because of the incredible transformations I’ve witnessed. I can’t wait to see how each of you use this experience to create meaningful change in your workplaces and lives.”
