Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain has been recertified as a Green Globe Platinum Member, underscoring the hotel’s continuous commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. As the first hotel in Bahrain to achieve Green Globe certification, Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain has remained a leader in the region’s hospitality industry, dedicated to sustainable practices that benefit both the planet and the community.

For over a decade, Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain has maintained a steadfast dedication to sustainability, consistently striving to minimise its environmental impact through innovative solutions. This recent recertification highlights the hotel's ongoing journey in environmental responsibility, with several key initiatives leading the charge:

1. Plastic-Free Commitment: Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain has eliminated single-use plastics, opting instead for eco-friendly packaging, glass water bottles and aluminium milk portions to minimise plastic waste.

2. Environmental Sustainability: The hotel’s sustainability efforts include tree planting initiatives and energy-efficient operations that contribute to a greener, healthier environment.

3. In-House Water Production: Through its own water production system, the hotel reduces plastic waste while ensuring a sustainable and ethical water source for guests.

4. Eco-Friendly Room Products: Guest rooms are stocked with Yuni products, sustainably sourced to align with the hotel’s commitment to eco-conscious living.

5. Earth Hour Participation: Each year, the hotel takes part in Earth Hour, encouraging guests and staff to adopt more sustainable energy practices.

6. Raising Awareness: Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain actively engages guests and staff in sustainability initiatives, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility.

7. Food Waste Reduction: The hotel minimises kitchen waste and donates surplus food to local charities, addressing food insecurity while promoting sustainability.

8. Water & Energy Conservation: With the use of LED lighting and advanced cooling systems, the hotel conserves water and energy across its operations.
