by: BTM - Sat, 01 Mar 2025
The Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2025 is set to light up the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) from April 11-13. As part of F1’s landmark 75th anniversary celebrations, this event promises high-speed thrills and spectacular entertainment under the slogan: ‘The Desert Never Sleeps.’
F1’s biggest names will descend on Bahrain, including seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton in Ferrari red and a new wave of rising stars, such as Kimi Antonelli with Mercedes and Oliver Bearman with Haas. Racing fans will also be treated to fierce competition in the FIA Formula 2 Championship, FIA Formula 3 Championship and Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East.
BIC Chief Executive Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa said: “The recent F1 75 Live launch event showed that the fan interest in the sport is as strong as ever and we are certainly feeling that in Bahrain as the excitement builds for the 2025 race. With an incredible line up of entertainment and several new driver combinations on the grid, we expect fans to enjoy an incredible experience under lights in the desert.”
Corporate hospitality lounges are already sold out, with grandstand tickets selling fast. He notes: “Last year, we saw record crowds, and ticket sales are ahead of that pace this year. We encourage fans to book now to avoid disappointment.
Beyond the Track
BIC has curated a sensational off-track experience for all ages. Circus Extreme will dazzle spectators with breathtaking acrobatics, while the iconic Ferris Wheel returns for another spectacular spin. The Kids Race Festival will bring beloved characters such as Sonic the Hedgehog and Snoopy to life, alongside thrilling performances by Living Garden, Circus Cortex and Circolation acrobats.
For motorsport enthusiasts, the F1 Fan Zone offers immersive activations, giving fans an up-close taste of the adrenaline-fuelled action. There will also be a charity auction to raise money for the Royal Humanitarian Foundation.
The Desert Never Sleeps
The official slogan of this year’s F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix was unveiled as ‘The Desert Never Sleeps.’
He explains: “As a venue, we have always sought to have our own individual identity. In fact, every F1 race will be known by fans for its own special characteristics. For us, we like to incorporate elements of our culture and surroundings into the race weekend.
“We are in the middle of the desert which sets us apart somewhat, but we are also very much a night culture here in Bahrain. So the aim is to reflect the fact that, especially under the lights at night, fans can experience something incredibly special and uplifting – whether that be the racing on track, our concerts or indeed the entertainment we have in the fan zones for all the family.
“Those who have been to our race before know that this place truly comes to life at night, so we wanted to reflect that in our campaign for this year.”
Packages, including flights, accommodation and tickets, are available via Gulf Air Holidays and Bahrain Tourism. For more details and ticket bookings, visit bahraingp.com or call the BIC Hotline at 17450000.
