SID MEIER’S CIVILISATION VII
Verdict: Another milestone in the iconic series.
What is it?
Civilisation VII is a 4X strategy game in which players try to build the strongest civilisation, working through different ages of history. As usual, there is a focus on exploring, expanding, resource gathering and finally defeating your competition. It will stay true to the core turn-based and tech tree heart of all Civilisation games, with some modern features implemented.
How does it play?
The player uses various units, representing military and civilians, to explore the map, grow their civilisation through additional cities, culture and technology, gather resources of the geography around their settlements and defeat threats from foreign civilisations. The player can win the game through a range of possible victory conditions, ranging from peaceful solutions to full military domination of the world.
Civilisation VII allows the player to select leaders and civilisations independently, with some favouring leaders with certain attributes. The criteria for who constitutes a ‘leader’ has also been updated, with philosophers, religious leaders and scientists who were not heads of state being included.

DONKEY KONG COUNTRY

The new release of Donkey Kong Country Returns includes updated graphics and some of the exclusive levels from the Nintendo 3DS release as well. The game stars both Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong as they track down the Tiki Tak Tribe, which has stolen all of their bananas. Donkey Kong Country Returns HD also features two player co-op across all 80 levels.
