Al Arayedh Group Holding Celebrating

As Bahrain celebrates National Day and Accession Day, Al Arayedh Group Holding reflects on its remarkable achievements in 2024 and its steadfast commitment to the Kingdom’s growth under His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s leadership. Chairman Nasser Al Arayedh spoke to Kristian Harrison and shared insights into the group’s accomplishments, future plans and its role as a family-owned enterprise in the modern business world.

Reflecting on 2024, Mr. Al Arayedh highlighted the group’s strategic expansion and philanthropic efforts. “This year, we added Kuala Lumpur to our existing representative offices in London, Singapore and Geneva,” he says. Beyond business growth, the group received recognition for its extensive social responsibility initiatives. “We’ve supported numerous activities focusing on needy families and empowering youth and women, which earned acknowledgments from the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Capital Governorate, Northern Governorate and other official entities.”

He expressed deep appreciation for Bahrain’s progress under HM King Hamad’s vision, complemented by the support and dedication of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. “The leadership of Bahrain has brought real transformation across various sectors of the country, including significant progress across economic, political and social sectors. We hope to witness continued growth and prosperity for all.”

The group remains attuned to the evolving economic landscape, identifying innovative opportunities within Bahrain’s thriving sectors. “Real estate and investments are our primary focus. We are currently planning and developing new, innovative real estate projects to address the Kingdom’s needs,” Mr. Al Arayedh shares.

As a family-owned business, the Al Arayedh Group embraces both the challenges and advantages of this unique structure within the wider business world. “The key to staying successful lies in effective communication and education within the family,” he explains. “We ensure every member understands the business’s evolving directions, encouraging participation in implementing strategies that secure its longevity. This fosters a collective learning process.”

Looking ahead to 2025, the group aims to strengthen its international presence and capitalise on opportunities within the region. “We are optimistic about the coming year, focusing on growth in Bahrain and leveraging regional expansion,” Mr. Al Arayedh notes. However, he acknowledges that challenges persist, requiring adaptability and resilience.

Concluding, Mr. Al Arayedh expressed optimism about Bahrain’s pivotal role in the region’s development. “The region is growing, and Bahrain can play a central role, benefiting from this expansion. We see ourselves contributing significantly to this vision through our initiatives and projects,” he says.

The company continues to showcase how a family-owned business can successfully merge tradition with innovation, creating value for Bahrain while honouring its legacy. With a firm focus on sustainable growth and regional opportunities, the group is set to continue its trajectory of success.
